The event “Turn our Hearts” is behind us. It was a Christian conference which took place in Zagreb from May 1-4. More than thousand young Christians from former Yugoslavia and some other places were gathered together for the first time. The goal of this event was to encourage, empower and connect young forces in Jesus Christ.
We had workshops, concerts, performances, and a lot of fellowship. Message of the conference was to turn our hearts to God, and participants readily answered this call – offering their potentials, talents and creativity to God! Below are the pictures and impressions from some of us, which will show you more about how it was.
I am grateful for this event because in these four unforgettable days I realized that I am also a part of God’s new army- which He is lifting up – not only in my city, Zagreb, but in all parts of former Yugoslavia, and that all of us, no matter where we are, are fighting the same battle for God! The best part for me was Saturday evening when we were all singing and praying. Even if it had lasted till the next morning I would have stayed. It was wonderful. Wherever you turned there were young people around you, singing and worshiping Jesus, our King… Glory to God… It was really worth it to see that there are so many young people burning for Jesus… Miran
I really liked the evening service on Saturday, where so many young people in anointing worshiped and adored our God, and as a cream on top, many teenagers were baptized in the Holy Spirit. Our lecturer at the workshop was excellent, and each person who never had a chance to hear a healthy teaching on premarital relations could have definitely heard many very good things from him. He is our brother from Slovenia. Another great thing was a chance to enjoy fellowship among us and I had a chance to get to know some people better. That was a great blessing for me because they blessed me through their devotion to God, their creativity, their gifts and smiles. How wonderful it is to live like brothers together! 🙂 Evgenija
Many things made a great impression on me, but I will single out a testimony of one brother who met a friend at the Anthony Skinner’s concert. He had not seen him for a long time, and his friend was touched by music. He had no place where he could sleep that night, so our brother invited him to his place. In the morning his friend heard the Good News, and sincerely gave his heart to Jesus. After the prayer of devotion he experienced peace and joy, and testified that he is not frightened about job or flat any more. The very same day he found a flat and got a job. Glory to Jesus! Luka
What was really great at the conference for me was to meet people I had known before, but only then did I find out that they had also given their lives to Christ. What was also so special and a great encouragement was to see people from the whole former Yugoslavia and some other places who decided to follow a narrow and steep path. I was also impressed by the open support of the authorities for this event. But nevertheless, I still believe that the best things are still ahead of us! This is only beginning! Krešo
