Evangelist Daniel King was with us last weekend in the Christian Centre “Word of Life” in Zagreb. Through the story from the Old Testament, about a man whose name was Obed Edom, he encouraged us that our story as a Church, as well as each of us individually is not yet over. He also spoke about how Jesus has never changed, and he heals the sick in our time also.
The name Obed Edom showed that he was a slave and an enemy to God’s people. Many people have a similar story when they come to God, but His presence can change all that. God’s presence in Obed Edom’s life made him blessed in everything. When he had given to God what he had, God used him.
So it is with each one of us. God leads us through “fire”, so that we would be “on fire” for Him. When we are willing to let God use us, He leads us from victory to victory. Such victories glorify God and tell other people about Him, because what God has done for one person, He wants to do for other people.
Evangelist King pointed out that even that story is not over yet, because God wants even more for His Church. Many have received Christ during this seminar, and experienced change which His presence brings in life of each person. Brothers and sisters testified about salvation, deliverance and healing, with which God blessed them. But, as this story is not yet over, we believe that God has many more things ready for all of us.21
