According to the previously determined schedule, apostle Šićko preached the first day. He spoke of gratitude, its importance and the blessings that come out of it, but also about ingratitude and its negative consequences and curses that come with it into lives of people. Truly, there are so many reasons to be grateful to God.
This conference is yet one more reason for us to be grateful! At the end of the sermon, apostle Šićko did not miss the opportunity to call onto people to come forward and receive salvation. And, glory to God, there were some who did not miss their chance to receive it. As there are many good things which come along with salvation, so there were some who received deliverance and healing from different diseases through their faith in Jesus’ name. This was a wonderful opening of the conference.
Pastor Thomas served us the following day. He spoke about God’s promises, how to receive them and hold onto them until they are completely fulfilled. Each Christian should dare to believe God’s promises! After that, apostle Šićko spoke about heart – what this term refers to in the Bible, what can a human heart be like, and – what is most important – what kind of a heart pleases God. Both sermons were an excellent foundation for the prophecy which God gave to the Church through apostle Šićko. He called all persons younger than thirty and shared a word with them, i.e. promise which calls this people the future of the city of Osijek and the whole region. That includes, not only leading positions in spiritual breakthroughs, but also favor for advances to the most influential institutions in society, promoting and establishing true Christian values in them, as well as opportunities to preach the Gospel to the influential men in society. We believe that many have truly received this promise, and that they would also continue to treasure it until its fulfillment, and as God is faithful, the day is coming when we shall see this! On this day we also witnessed salvation and healing. Glory to Jesus!
The last day of the conference, pastor Slavko and pastor Thomas served to us. Pastor Slavko preached the Gospel – God’s power for salvation, and Pastor Thomas – with a wonderful illustration about a caterpillar and a butterfly – about the necessity of turning away from all sins after receiving salvation. The prayers followed – for salvation, healing, and more specifically, for persons facing important decisions in lives, for which the Holy Spirit especially inspired, pastor Thomas.
The conference ended the same way it had begun – by glorious, joyful and grateful worship of the Lord who was among us, as proved to be good and faithful God as always.
